Among the thousand attendees of the 26th MinBizCon was the NMFDC – Highland Fresh Dairy. Mindanao Business Conference (MinBizCon) ran from September 7 – 9, 2017 held at Xavier Estates Sports and Country Club, CDeO hosted by Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc.

MinBizCon is an annual gathering of business executives, investors, industry players, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with this year’s theme “Emerging Opportunities, One Mindanao”. Recognized as the largest annual business conference in Mindanao, this year’s MinBizCon was a perfect setting to expand business linkages and network as well as the best occasion to meet the country’s business leaders, stakeholders and government policy makers who  discussed innovative strategies towards building a strong and resilient Mindanao economy.

Gracing the closing ceremony was President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who expressed “To secure Mindanao’s important role as the country’s food basket, the government is actively providing assistance in the assistance of high value crops, and other development of agricultural products and marketing of its goods, among others”.

Despite of the Marawi siege, the President firmly believes that Mindanao has great potential, as long as it has the right infrastructure and a sound business environment. “Mindanao’s abundant resources and hardworking and dynamic people have the capacity to contribute even more to our country’s growth and development”, he stated.

The three-day event was successfully done with the combined efforts of its co-convenor: the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA); in cooperation with the City government of CDeO and the Province of Misamis Oriental; and its cooperators: Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Department of Agriculture (DA).
